Submission Statistics

The statistics is automatically generated by our reviewing system. The data is to be interpreted as follows:

  • Average Review Time (months): counts the time between the submission day and the day when the author was informed about the initial decision; the most extreme cases are not taken into account; (conversion factor for months: 30.33);
  • Average Time to Publication incl. Revision and Advance Online (months): counts the time between the submission day and the day when the paper was published online; this also includes the time authors require to revise and proofread their manuscripts;
  • Initial Acceptance Rate (%): counts the number of submissions that were accepted already within the initial decision procedure and divides it by the total number of finally processed (accepted or refuted) submissions;
  • Overall Acceptance Rate (%): counts the number of submissions that were finally processed and accepted and divides it by the total number of finally processed submissions;
  • Authors Received Reviews (%): counts the number of submissions whose authors received at least one review and divides it by the total number of finally processed submissions; submissions without a review are either desk rejections or the reviewers provided only notes for the editors, but not for the authors;
